Odd things, daily.
Disgusted by the growing number of rape attacks in India, three engineering students have created “SHE” (Society Harnessing Equipment), a lingerie attachment intended to electrocute potential rapists.
Pressure sensors and electric circuits are woven into the fabric of the bra, not the underpants, as discussions with victims and law enforcement agencies revealed that most women were attacked first on their breasts. The inner side of the garment is lined to protect the wearer.
Much more high-tech than the South African anti-rape condom “Rapex”, SHE also contains GPS capabilities and, when activated, will send a text to emergency services and the parents of the girl, giving details about the location of the attack.
SHE is expected to go on sale later this month.
