Odd things, daily.
The latest advertising technique to sweep Japan is genius – rent the upper thighs of young girls as advertising space.
Japanese company Absolute Territory PR has started paying young girls to wear stickers on the space between their miniskirt and their high socks.
So far over 1,300 girls have applied to the agency. Girls must be 18 years or older, have an active social media account, and must agree to wear the sticker advertising a certain company for at least eight hours a day. In order to prove they’re not just sitting at home on the couch counting their yen, the girls must post photos of themselves wearing the stickers to Facebook and Twitter.
Along with the many Japanese businesses getting on board this new advertising trend, the band Green Day has used the company to promote their new CD.
