Odd things, daily.
A military report published in the German Medical Science Journal has found that dozens of male soldiers in the Wachbataillon unit have developed a condition called one-sided gynecomastia. In other words, each soldier has developed one large breast.
Professor Bjorn Krapohl, the director of plastic surgery at the military hospital in Berlin, says the condition is most likely being caused by the battalion drills. The way in which the solders swing their rifles is stimulating the mammary glands to produce more hormones, creating the one-growing-boob effect. That’s not a technical term.
At least 35 soldiers so far are suffering from the condition, prompting German military officials to consider changing the way in which they perform drills.
