White House encouraged to build a Death Star

For the few of you who may not know, the Death Star was a moon-sized space station with a giant lazer capable of destroying whole planets from the Star Wars saga. A petition calling on the White House to build a real life Death Star has already been signed by thousands of Americans.

Colorado man John D, who is leading the campaign, writes in the petition:

“By focusing our defence resources into a space-superiority platform and weapon system such as a Death Star, the government can spur job creation in the fields of construction, engineering, space exploration, and more, and strengthen our national defence.”

I wonder if he realises that Earth doesn’t have enough iron to build a space installation of “death star proportions”
