Odd things, daily.
In an effort to increase business, a Polish firm has released a calendar featuring topless models posing next to its caskets. [WARNING: NSFW]
The Catholic church has condemned the calendar, claiming that sex should not be mixed up with human death. But Zbigniew Lindnew, the owner of the company, disagrees. “We wanted to show that a coffin isn’t a religious symbol, it’s a product,” Lindnew explained. “Why are people afraid of coffins and not of business suits, cosmetics or jewellery?”
“My son had the idea of creating the company’s calendar,” Lindnew said. “So that we could show something half-serious, colourful, beautiful; the beauty of Polish girls and the beauty of our coffins.”
Anyone who purchases the calendar from the company’s website receives a complementary keyring in the shape of a coffin.
